Fiona Mahoney, the chief executive of the Somerset-based charity Reminiscence Learning, has been awarded the gold medal in the Charity Champion category at the Best Businesswomen Awards 2024. Organizers have recognized Fiona as one of the UK’s leading businesswomen during a spectacular gala dinner held at the Hilton Syon Park Hotel in London.
The Best Businesswomen Awards focus on showcasing the talents of women across the UK, and in 2019, they celebrated a decade of honoring outstanding female entrepreneurs, having recognized over 1,000 women since its inception in 2015. Organizer Debbie Gilbert commended the challenging selection process, stating: ‘Winning is a significant affirmation and a testament to exceptional entrepreneurial talent.”

Reminiscence Learning is an award-winning charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with dementia as well as their caregivers. Among its many impactful initiatives is the Archie Project, which fosters intergenerational learning, alongside several awareness programs and community services that have garnered national acclaim.
Judges commended Ms. Mahoney’s leadership, stating: “Her accomplishments are remarkable. The charity serves as a beacon of hope for those living with dementia and their families. The Archie Project is particularly innovative, providing an effective way to educate children about dementia. This charity truly goes above and beyond, making a significant impact.”
